Somewhere in the great Australian outback, there is a farm that breeds the greatest menace to an unsuspecting tourist that could ever be born... Drop bears!
Q: So, what is this journal?
A: This journal belongs to one of many people who use Livejournal to play pretendy fun-time games, better known as roleplaying, on the internet. It's used to keep archives of various character records, storyline drafts and other various things in one place that won't clutter journals dedicated to real life or actual characters.
Q: Who is its author?
A: Fidchell, known to friends as Tsu, is an average nerd in his early twenties. Despite the Australian theme of this journal, he originates from former USSR and currently lives in Odessa, Ukraine. He has web-design education, but due to lacking stability of that area, ends up making a living by translating things that range from business documents to ridiculous texts from dating agencies. He's short-tempered and easy to rile up into heavy snarking, but prefers the slow and quiet moments in life. He's also a spaz with a notoriously low self-esteem, something that often makes him disturbed by smallest things.
Tsu adores video games of all kinds, with exception of wargames. He would play those, however, if he's promised good storytelling and design. He rarely watches TV, but gladly downloads an ocassional TV-show for the fun of it. In that area, his preferences range from live-action to anime, but he prefers animated series and slow, complex thrillers with conspiracy theories and loads of references to mythology, cryptozoology and paranormal.
His favorite TV-shows of all times are The Pretender and X-Files. He likes very artsy movies like Silent Hill and Pan's Labyrinth. His favorite actors are Johnny Depp and Jean Reno. His favorite actress is Michelle Pfeiffer.
He reads lots of comics, with preferences for indie works and WildStorm.
Sometimes, he also talks too much and describes himself in third person.
Q: Drop bears?
A: Drop bears are pure awesome! They are small, fuzzy and hilariously adorable. When you see one, you just want to smoosh it in a hug. But they also have a surprising savage side that is only discovered when it's too late, when they nom your head off. They're the ultimate combination of doom and adorable, thus making them ultimate fictional animals.
Drop bears are also full of sit, which allows them to remain amazing even while doing absolutely nothing. They are that great.
Now that I'm done squeeing about drop bears, PBed on this journal by various koalas, I'll leave you to browse the journal and my characters on your own.
